your monthly limit is > 10 .

hi guys hope your all making some money on ebay.

k just sold 1 or 2 dvds and feel abit excited on my stealth account. taking it slow then building it up yup.

just a quick thing looked at my selling dashboard and they gave me a monthly selling limit of 10 ! wtffffffff lol. when did they start doing this ? how can i surpass this and the idea of them saying we need to verify your details to lift limit looks abit scary ? please share your expertise ?

thanks.

If I remember it has been in place since the latter part of 2010, when they introduced selling limits. That is the standard selling limit when you haven't linked your account to a verified PayPal... once you do this it will go up to 25/100. What is so scary about that? They just want you to link it to your PayPal account. Your choice is either to do that and get your limits raised now, or have them upgraded more slowly when eBay reviews your account. Those are the two ways in which you can overcome this.

i would suggest searching the forum for your answer. it has been talked about A LOT and you can find all the info you need

But I gave him his answers all in one place already.

Another way is to phone ebay and discuss with them your business plans. If they are happy with what they hear, your limits will be increased.

Elijah, I read your post thoroughly to make sure I hadnt repeated anything that you had said. I hope this meets with your approval, although I'm sure that if it doesnt, you'll certainly let me know.

Personally, I would prefer to have several members respond with exactly the same answer to a question that I had asked. That way I would have a lot more confidence that the information I was being given was 100% accurate.

Whilst Slimjim's post wasnt a full and detailed answer, as I have just pointed out yours wasnt either. If the OP took Slimjim's advice he would have found plenty posts on the pros and cons of phoning ebay to raise limits as well as more info on the answer you gave.

Obviously there's a better way.

If Elijah posts, we'll just close all threads.

He'll have had his say.

Simples.

For the review on eBay only. Of course it could be done any time if you just link your eBay account to the verified PayPal... or take the risk and phone as was suggested.

I would only use it as a last resort if you are truly desperate to sell more... and even then it would be a better course of action to just open more stealth accounts. It could get them to scrutinise your account and some have even reported getting lower or 0 limits after contacting eBay.

I almost soiled myself from laughter after reading this. Don't let me stop you

Fair enough. But in this case the next post was telling him to search to find his answer... when an answer had already been given. If somebody instead posted more about the phone part or just to reiterate what I had said, I wouldn't have said anything.

But it was. Other than not mentioning the phone call part. And telling someone to search is really just redirection than a true answer.

That would be a good move. But I'd have had my WAY, not say...

You happen to think you are one clever cookie.

Your advice in this thread was certainly of benefit.

But by rubbishing a reply from another user you limited the OP to a chance of looking through the forum.

During his search he may well find other info of benefit to him.

Such an opportunity would have been lost if he was forced to accepting only your say.

It's the overall picture that needs to work for all. Not one biased view.
