HI guys ...I wanted to ask one question about "proof of possession" which ebay and paypal asks.

What kind of proof of possession should i produce ?

Would sales invoice or receipt work?:s

Anyone can help that will be greatly appreciated .

what do you mean by face blotted out?

sorry am not very good at english.

I think he means face covered, ideally you should be holding the item and you should write your ebay name on a piece of card and have that in the picture too as proof that it is you :)

If so did it come from ebay or paypal?

There are differing standards.

You would be better to confirm with ebay that they will accept this method.

ebay uk have become less accepting of this practice. Certainly, they no longer like the face blocked out.

You supply whatever they ask you to supply.

When they ask, you will know.

paypal do not accept the same as ebay.

You need to provide paperwork of receipts, invoices.
Much stricter than ebay

You supply whatever proof they ask for like GB said. Easier to have paperwork in advance ready

Dont sell high risk or vero items because that generally is frowned badly upon REGARDLESS of paperwork and proof.

Using any account can trigger requests for ID.

Should you sell to the £1900 anti money laundering limit, ID is needed.
You must be prepared for that.

High chance given the type of items you are selling.

First dispute from a buyer and you have troubles...

Best to spread risk of electronics across few accounts - maybe 2-3 and rotate sells is an option

I sent in a photo of items with a recent national newspaper as proof of possession

Often doable but often rejected too.

Preferable to speak to them & ask if they are OK in accepting that...gives an edge
