Ebay/paypal stealth accounts advice needed!

3 months ago we got suspended from ebay and then by paypal. We've recently set up a ebay stealth and paypal stealth account. We've manged to find a business that is no longer trading who are willing to sell us their ebay account. The account is many years old and is top rated with no suspensions. Please could anyone help us with the questions below -

1. Would it be ok linking this top rated aged account to our new stealth paypal. I understand that the details to the ebay will have to be changed over a period of time to avoid getting flagged. So the name and address to the aged account will be different to the paypal, will the accounts get flagged for this?

2. What would be the most important piece of information to change on this aged ebay account first?

3. Would our paypal get flagged if I sell many items on my aged ebay account as the ebay has high limits?

4. We're only planning to buy off our new ebay stealth account, would we get flagged if we have two ebay accounts but with different details on the same ip address?

Thanks in advance for your answers :)

Would be better if they supplied the paypal account to go with it.

Much care is needed to get the proposed set up to work. You'll need to create another new Paypal for the TRS ebay account. Keep you newly created ebay and paypal accounts seperate.

Keep different IP addresses and keep both accounts on different windows user accounts.

Re

Hi, thanks for your reply. I can now confirm that I can get my hands on the paypal as well.. So where do I go from here..

I don't want to change to many details on this big account however the seller wants to remove as many personal details as possible from the account.

I'm going to leave my new stealth accounts and concentrate on this old account that I'm going to purchase.

It's going to cost quite a bit of £ so I want to get this right. Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Unless you get the email address too, you'll need to add a new email to both accounts. Apart from that, add a new bank and card details to the paypal.

Over and above this, do a LOT of reading on here. It is vital so that you don't link this account to anything you've previously had suspended etc.

Good luck.

Before you hand over ANY money to these sellers, check the account out fully.
Are you taking legal advice? I am serious.
This looks good on paper.
But you have to be very astute in the manner you handle this account.

Make sure you check the account for everything possible.

Whatever else you do, do not rush.
:peace:

Where did that silly idea come from?

Avoid thinking of such an operation.

too big a risk of linking.

Read much more around here to avoid this

It may be worth looking at the accounts for sale in the forum, as they are truly stealth will have a better chance of not getting shut down so long as you follow the stealth rules. Would be pretty bad if you bought the new PP and EB off another person only for it to get locked because you had to change all the details.

Just my 2 cents anyway

Thanks for all your replies!

Ok, the guy we're buying the aged ebay account from is genuine. He will be signing the account over to us through ebays correct channels. We need to fill out a form where we'll add our stealth details

Hes no longer willing to provide us with the paypal account linked to the ebay so we'll be linking our stealth paypal

Can anyone see a problem that could arise with the above

Thanks

It depends on the volume that you are putting though PP as they can be very jumpy with new PP accounts.

Also its worth baring in mine that if anything untoward happens to the PP account that he is no longer selling you, then it will be linked to the EB that you are acquiring, and could result in your EB being shut down. Same applies for if he links his PP to a new EB account and then the new EB account of his runs into problems.

What proper channels? Have you taken legal advice on this?

As for a new stealth paypal, this screams of limitations happening when funds go into the account.
What volume are you thinking of doing?
This is new territory for you.

It has heaps of pitfalls to entrap you

This sounds like a bad idea the chances the account will be shut down are high, why not just create multiple stealths???

wills1230 05-02-2013 10:42 AM

Thanks again for the replies.

To begin with we're going to be listing 4 low risk items with low qtys then gradually increase this by 2 every week

Having trawled hours upon hours reading through the forums I think we can get away with the above

We currently have a £1,900 limit on the paypal so we wont be exceeding this for a good few months yet

By going through ebays proper channels I mean contacting them about the account change over

Any advice welcome

can anyone see a problem with the above? All advice welcome

Ebay can not be trusted the more u contact them the higher chance u have of being shut down the best thing to do is create multiple accounts and run ur business that way, so if u stay link free when one account goes down not that big deal , if u have one account ur powerless when ur account gets closed u will be left stranded with no sales. Ebay gives no control to seller only buyers the way and only way is ebay stealth

Dmshark25 05-03-2013 09:48 AM

You say u been shut down in the past and already have stealth account why not just create more stealths????

they_screwed_me_too 05-03-2013 09:57 AM

not sure why a top rated seller would suddenly stop sellimg on ebay unless there were problems somwhere

doesnt sit right with me
