Ebay Limitation Advice Needed
 

Hi Guys.

I have had a selling restriction placed on my ebay account due to my detailed seller ratings falling below the minimum. I want to start selling again though and this is what I have done so far:

New address - I have just moved house.
New IP - I have changed internet service providers.
Clean computer - I have performed a fresh install of windows.
New email.
New phone number.
I know that I will need a new paypal address and new bank details.



Obviously I will need to register again with ebay and with paypal however, what I'm not sure about is what name to give them. New address, phone numbers and bank details (for paypal) are all fine, but should I use my real name?

If I don't use my real name, what will happen when they ask for proof of my ID? Does anyone know what proof they ask for in the UK?

Also, if I did use my real name and provided legitimate ID, would they link that to my old account and limit me?

Before my limitation I was turning over around £20,000 per month so if I doubt if I will be able to get near to that without having to provide some ID, correct?

how bad is the selling restriction?

can you trade out of it by working your butt off with cheap, high volume freepost items?

a 20k a month account is worth trying to salvage, surely?

If you want to try and salvage the account, it is a good idea to sell low-end items for increased metrics stat.

The restriction is just on your eB right? PP is still good?

I'm restricted from selling with that account - I can't sell at all.

My paypal account is in good standing but it does have a 10% rolling reserve.

What is the notice? Much depends on this notice as to your best course of action
Keep in mind that you will need to avoid having low DSRs with a new account too.

Yes, ID will be needed.
Having a rolling reserve on paypal suggests you might be better to start all over as a new stealth you.
