| babs35 | 05-24-2013 03:06 PM | galaxy s3 3G for stealth account how can i use it to create multiple EB/PP stealth account?
I am unable to tether the internet on my laptop , i heard 3g not allowed this anymore, OR extra fee apply ...something like that!
can i use the 3g sim card on a unlocked dongle and plug it on my laptop?
is it possibe to create multiple account on galaxy s3 phone ?
Any help will be highly appreciated |
| derbydave | 05-24-2013 03:29 PM | if they're not allowing you to tether your phone and PC, it's highly unlikely they'll let you use the SIM in a dongle.
anyway, i can't see how they can possibly know you're tethering. it's not like you need a special app to do it as the Android OS has the ability built in (unless 3 have removed it)
try plugging your phone into your PC via USB, then go to 'Settings' > 'Wireless & Networks' (or click 'More settings' near the top of settings) > 'Tethering and portable hotspots' then put a tick in 'USB tethering'.
There's no real reason why this shouldn't work. |
| babs35 | 05-24-2013 04:05 PM | Hi derbydave , thanks for the reply
Im going to try it now . i will let you know if it works
thanks |

Check which is accurate or you will get confused.
I merged the posts with the youtube clip to keep all response together to help you. |
| Lex Luthor | 05-25-2013 04:47 AM | To use unlimited internet on 3 (tethered or direct) on a Pay As You Go sim you need to top up £15 per month and then purchase 'All You Can Eat Data' which costs £15 per month.
It may seem a little confusing at first but once you have topped up £15 you need to call 444 on your handset and go through the options to purchase one of the plans. For the 'All You Can Eat Data' plan you will also receive 150 inclusive minutes and 3000 inclusive texts.
Hope this helps. |

i just find out 3g not allow tethering
any other option? |
| Lex Luthor | 05-25-2013 05:52 AM | I am currently using my internet via tetherring on a 3 Sim on the android operating system and I have been doing so for over a year now without any problems.
Tethering is not allowed with 3, however, if it goes unnoticed it shouldn't be a problem. 3 tend to find out about tethering when they detect massive amounts of data being downloaded in line with home Broadband Internet users.
From a technical perspective, there is no real way of a mobile phone service provider to detect whether a device is tethering or not. It is usually based on downloaded data records and sites visited. |

| Lex Luthor | 05-25-2013 11:35 AM | It seems that you will be required to run a fault diagnosis as the problem could be a variety of different issues. Your operating system has a built in diagnostics sequence that you could use. Please do let me know if you need any assistance. |

| djsunny | 05-29-2013 04:11 PM | Hello babs,
I have a three sim which is 30 days rolling contract and when I got the contract I could use tethering but three network have some sort of software which can detect you using your phone as a modern as you are not allowed to tether unless you purchase a add on which they charge £5.00 for unlimited tethering, it's best to call three and tell them you mainly uses for youtube and online movies so you need unlimited tethering and they will tell you it's £5.00 add on. |
| babs35 | 05-29-2013 04:22 PM | samsung galaxy s3 with kies software okay , i will call them first in the morning.

I phoned them about the add on for tethering , which will be £5.00 a month , but i'ts not unlimited it's only 1.8 GB a month
Should i go for it? |
| djsunny | 06-01-2013 04:14 AM | You have to force them to give you unlimited as I did and got unlimited tethering. |
Hopefully Samsung Galaxy S4 will be just as similar in methodology |

i used to have a s3, you best off using the phone as a wifi hotspot.
APPS, SETTINGS, MORE SETTING (4th one down), tethering and portable hotspots, move the slider where it says portable WI-IF hotspot, once it goes green, press on where it says portable WI-FI hotspot for a second, there it will bring up a page to configer it.
then go to your flip flop and connect as you would wirelessly to your home router, basicaly that what you going to use your phone as,,, a wirless router
One reason for doing this way is that its easy, another is that you can leave you phone in a sweet spot round the hose while you sit where you want giving you the best connection and comfort.
Word of WARNING : i have been Kicked from a few providers in the past for tethering when i shouldn't have been, they do know.
to get now i.ps with your phone, you can just switch flight mode on the off again, remember to record them all and not to mix them between accounts | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:37 AM. | |
