2nd seller account after 1st is restricted from selling
 

Got the following email after I tried an experiment with my dormant 2nd account. 1st account restricted due to dsr's, can still buy on it. Why did ebay not ban this second account? Has anyone had similar experiences and managed to increase limits after 90days?

Based on your account information and activity, it looks like user ID ** is associated with your account. This usually indicates that both accounts belong to the same person.

Because the other account is restricted or otherwise not meeting minimum seller standards, we've changed the amount you can list on eBay.

You can now sell up to 5 items or up to £350.00 per month, whichever comes first. After 90 days, we'll reassess your account and may increase your limits based on your selling performance. Similar to how credit card limits work, these allowances will increase over time as sellers show that they can handle the increased sales volume. You can also increase your limits sooner by resolving any open issues with the associated account. We've already sent instructions for resolving these issues to the email address registered to that account.

Oh, ebay UK being nice again.

Few months back, these 2nd accounts were getting banned when they started to be used after a primary had selling limitations.

Only have one set where I tested with the same conditions as you. Sold on it constantly to its limits.
Got the desired result. Increases after the probation period.

Consider yourself lucky OP - ban could still happen so recommendation is to get new unlinked accounts going promptly. Don't rely on this linked account

Very lucky OP, eBay being very kind. Rare, although things have been getting better recently
