eBay will not let me list!
 

okay, so i set up an account a couple of weeks ago and it was suspended as soon as i listed my first item.

so this time i decided to set up an ebay and paypal account without adding the bank account to paypal so that if it was to get suspended then it wouldnt be a waste of a bank account.

however, ebay simply wont let me list without a bank account!

i set up a stealth account, new EVERYTHING!

then watched, bid and even bought items and looked through the community pages for 2 weeks!

after the 2 weeks i decide to list a used shirt so i look natural.

and its asking me for a bank account!

i get the message: "we want to keep ebay a safe place to sell, so we need a little more information from you to confirm your identity"

and then both options involve adding a bank account...

so is it impossible to set up an account without a bank?

The standard recommendation is to verify the PP with a bank prior to selling

Good news for OP is that if they are just asking for the bank account - put it in and you should be good to go

ebay co uk is rarely going to allow ANY new seller to list without some sort of protection.

Therefore they expect paypal which ideally would have a bank account attached.

They protect themselves.

Why did you waste an account with this method?

OP, was the Paypal linked to ebay before attempting to list?

Although not advisable, it is perfectly possible to sell on eBay UK with an unverified paypal.

its very easy to do though ,I've been trying with vcc but they are not accepting them from entropay
