Seller account banned for cheap feedback purchases

Ebay banned my seller account for buying cheap items to raise feedback.

I bought cheap items between £0.01-£0.5 and they banned the seller acc.

Did anyone else experience this?

They didnt tell me this is reason they banned though

How many of these cheap items did you buy?

So how do you know that is the reason?

I don't believe EBay ban accounts just for buying cheap items.

As James says, how many?

Buying a few won't cause issues.

I have never bought an item with my stealth accts and would not recommend it as way of building up an acct

Why is that?

They can and they do.

They class it as feedback manipulation and a breach of their policies.

It does not matter to them the quantities involved but the pattern of buying/selling that triggers the limitation.

I was thinking of a few items per month, not even per week or day.

There has to be an acceptable level.

Actually, thinking about it I know many EBayers who live closely who specifically buy the cheapest items on the site all the time. But these aren't usually sellers.

However, I can see how "Feedback Manipulation" can be spotted.

It's just hoping that Customer Service use a degree of common sense.

Such limitations are triggered by bots not humans.

e/b CS and common sense are two phrases that do not go together.

Besides that their agents have no discretionary powers and are driven by script and policy directive.

I always laugh and ponder why people are obsessed with buying feedback, buyers mostly look at selling feedback. People need to focus on selling feedback.

Acceptable level is totally at your discretion - it works for some people and fails for others. You don't need this kind of activity to build a good viable account

It isn't a bad touch when starting a Stealth account. Also if you run into an instance where you get receive a dreaded negative. Sometimes you need a way to help hold up that feedback percentage. Noticed this more and more now that US accounts basically can't sell more than 200 items a year without PayPal limitation.

every now and again wont be an issue just don't make it common practise. Hardly seems to be worth it as it wont help your DSR's and for a handful of fb is the risk worth it ?

What are you doing ???

I don't get it. Do you see the dates? You are responding with nonsense to questions asked weeks or months ago.

You look foolish and are adding clutter to all the threads

Why not contribute to a live topic with intelligent answers or observations?

Responding to old threads pushes the new ones to the back of the queue. People need help, so please stop av.
