| kittyamnezia | 03-27-2014 03:32 AM | Limits raised in 3 months Hey everyone, I've seen that there are a lot of people asking how quickly limits are lifted on a new seller account. I know eBay is essentially luck of the draw when it comes to this kind of thing. But obviously it can happen fairly quickly. For me, I've had my allowances raised on my account twice in 3 months and am now on 5k limits. Just a bit of hope for those of you wondering when it might happen.
What's the fastest anyone has had theirs raised? |
Callidus | 03-27-2014 03:35 AM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Same day as listing my first item... |
Re: Limits raised in 3 months Congratz kittyamnesia - that's great to hear...keep up the good work |
kittyamnezia | 04-06-2014 04:47 AM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Couldn't have done it without the forum. Quite literally have built my entire business from the knowledge I've been given here. Am now on 5k profit a month and couldn't be happier. I will endeavour to help others to balance things out a bit! |
shaz340 | 04-20-2014 03:00 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months hi guys. just a quick one. in order for you to raise your limits do you have to list until you can list no more for a month, or how does it work. im only asking because i am opening a stealth account for my business which deals with embroidery and printing on t shirts jumpers etc....
thanks |
GoteBay | 04-20-2014 03:13 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Maxing out the limit is one thing, but everything else on the account determines raises.
I have had limits raised on an account with bad feedback. |
shaz340 | 04-20-2014 03:57 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months ok cheers for that, just a quick one, so how do people raise their limits as soon as their accounts are made on ebay. |

It will increase to 25.
Some people get requested for a letter to be sent to your address which increase it to 100.
After that you have to wait for natural increases.
I highly advise against calling eBay to increase limits..bad things usually happen. |
Ill Be Back | 04-22-2014 01:01 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Hi,
I'm trying to gather as much information as I can. I haven't even made a stealth account yet as I'm trying to prepare myself for all the obstacles beforehand.
May I ask why you shouldn't call eBay to request higher selling limits? When I still had my second account (Fairly New as it was only a year old) I used to call every month without fail to increase the limits. All they asked was for my eBay User ID, Full Name and DOB I believe. Nothing really to trick you or anything complicating. It seemed fairly straight forward and my selling limits were increased immediately.
The only reason why my account was closed was because of too many cases being opened and a few for trademark violation. |
Re: Limits raised in 3 months Calling in to request higher limits places you at an agent's decision: could ask for ID, could manual suspend you...lot of evil possibilities exist - why risk? |
Ill Be Back | 04-22-2014 01:45 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Very true, I suppose it's a lot easier when you're telling the truth and able to provide some real details :) |
Dmshark25 | 04-22-2014 03:54 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months By calling in you Bring attention to an account that was once just blending,in with millions of other accounts
A reason you may have been flagged for trademark violation is when u called in they may have noticed what you were selling |
Ill Be Back | 04-22-2014 06:14 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months I agree. Before I got restricted indefinitely I called in to raise my selling allowance. One day later I got hit with a 30 day listing restriction. 3 days after that I got hit with the MC999. It all makes sense now :( Wish I knew about this forum before I was thrown off :/ |
GreenBean | 04-22-2014 06:40 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months @Ill Be Back
You are here now.
You can take everything on board to your own advantage and beat ebay.
Win-win for you.
Good Luck

onlinegirl | 04-25-2014 04:30 AM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months I leave my accounts at selling limit 10, only because I have a few accounts and I can spread my selling around. If I went back to selling a lot on ebay again I would also not advise calling ebay to raise limits. It works for some but it can also raise alarm bells. |
nick8898 | 05-04-2014 03:32 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months congratulations, i also have 2 account got raised, 10-100, another 10-30, it takes time, i rather not call them, just stay under the radar. |

reasonablehumanbeing | 05-23-2014 04:19 PM | Re: Limits raised in 3 months Buying my first stealth account this weekend.
The way i see it is simple. Sell a few household items, nothing dodgy, then call in to get my limits raised. When they check my items there won't be anything to raise any alarms, just some old dj equipment or something. Get off the phone after having the limits raised, let the dust settle for a few weeks then go for it.
That's how i see the phone call/limits subject. That said, i'll probably only resort to doing it if my limit raises take a while, or if i'm unlucky enough to be one of those people who gets "the letter" when requesting raises online.
I will tread carefully though and try to take my time with things as best i can. It seems one thing that really screws people over in this game is lack of patience. |

When you call back they will ask about your business and will be looking for supplier information.
I'd agree with you. A lack of patience causes the untimely demise of a lot of accounts. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:16 AM. | |
