eBay Fees and Debt Agency
 

Hey I have recived a call from a debt colloctor agency regarding my due fee's on eBay. I owed ebay a sum of ££ and added a £24.99 admin fee beacuse they have send it out to a debt collector. I mentioned that paypal have the money and i will have to wait 90 days so that I can withdraw the money from paypal and then pay eBay fee's however they said Paypal and eBay are both different companies.

They called me to confirm my adress and I told I left that house and gave them my hold house which in fact I live at the same house so what do you think guys?
I'm planning to pay my fee is that just I will have to wait for Paypal to realse the funds which they will realse on the July 14th.

And also one more thing can they track you via a mobile phone or a telephone number back to your address?

Save yourself a LOT of aggro and pay them what's due.

Just pay them - you're credit is already going to be affected...you're messing around for paltry amounts

I thought your credit can't be affected as theres no credit agreement?

Not condoning none payment and just playing the devils advocate but..

I thought they said they were different companies, as if they were the same then they already have the money and are gathering interest from it. So I suppose that is why it goes to collection rather than court, as they would be on shaky ground.

Has anyone not paid and checked their credit score to see if it shows up. I assumed they would but never really thought about it?

In the USA any debt collector can mark your credit through collections. It does not even have to be true or accurate. It is YOUR obligation to prove them wrong through the dispute process.

You are talking about pocket change. Why waste energy and time for such a tiny amount of money? Sounds pretty stubborn and foolish to me.

many companies use debt collection agencies in the uk. its cheaper and they often pass on debts which are too uneconomical for them to pursue in court. Unless it has been to court allowing you the chance to present a defence in court then the debt collection agency has no power at all. to enter your home and recover the debt or goods. I agree about why waste time for a paltry sum why not pay it and use your time more effectively and efficiently creating more stealth accounts and move on. I will not respond further to the poster because i want to use my time more effectively and efficiently

pay ebay not the debt agencies and when they ring again say i dont owe you anything i have payed my fees on ebay now so i do not owe anyone money
