Prevent some ebayers from bidding
 

My auctions are being targetted by the Nigerian scammers.

You know - ask for a paypal invoice then in my spam folder I get a suspicious paypal email asking for "shipping costs" to release paypal funds for delivery to Nigeria.

I tried relisting with buyer restrictions ( should have had those on first ) but I keep getting zero feedback accounts either swooping in at the auction end then I can have to go through the whole drama of pretending I don't know that they are are scammer whilst they WASTE MY TIME with spurious requests for bank account details, paypal invoices.

What buyer restrictions should I employ and what style auctions should I use to prevent these scammers being able to target me.

I relisted with restrictions (no credit card no bid etc) but some zero feedback brand new account has managed to click buy it now so that;s another listing gone up the swanney

Do you need to sell internationally?

A block can be done that way.

Immediate payment with paypal is one of my favourites.

How old is the account?

The user Dmshark25 outlined some good info about marking restrictions for bidders.

I do ask for immediate paypal but they can click buy it now then fail to pay.

The zero FB accounts are set up in the UK before they request the item is posted to Nigeria.

The account is not old - I presume thats why its targeted

I presume you are selling expensive items?

I've actually had same issue but with Chinese buyers and this was mostly with expensive computer parts such as CPU's.

Make more accounts and spread the risk of being targeted
