zero selling limit on new account
 

hi,

anyone getting zero selling limit on new accounts, its happened to my last 5 accounts.

Yes it has been reported this has started happening.

Post how you are making the account and what services you are using please.

i am using entropay for paypal, setting up basic account and changing it to seller account after a week.

Yep, it's happening just like it did on the US site.

On a plus note, it is now possible to get massive starting limits on UK personal accounts. I've seen 500 / £10000. :)

Its been happening for about a week now.

Bit of a PITA

No pattern that I have yet seen as to what is causing it.

I had this on a couple of accounts I created and they are still in the same state now. I've found the way around it is to create the Ebay and Paypal account on separate IP's and let them both age for a week or so. Sure you can do the browsing and searching on Ebay but don't link the two until you are ready to sell the first low risk item. It appears to work for some reason.

If this happens on an eBay account an you get a zero limit then does that mean the account is a waste of time an can't be sold on ever?

One question though which kind of hits on a post I made earlier that you replied to, if that zero limit happened is the bank account attached to PayPal wasted or can you find out you got the zero limit before linking your eBay to PayPal so as not to waste that bank account?

You guys, there was a post on this months ago, that's happening because of phone verification. You have to use a tracfone in order to verifie your number. You can purchase one at Walmart, Walgreen's, or Kroger's. Once you activate it, it comes with 10 -20 minutes. The phone only cost $5-10

You are referring to the situation on the US site.

This issue has only recently started on the UK platform and the cause is yet to be determined.

No such thing as 'tracfones' over here Stingman, they seem to be able really big thing across the pond for you all, but not for us over here, they mean nothing over here.
