Another account bites the dust..

Haha thought i was being original with my thread title but I see three others have the same name.

Anyway, so one of my accounts has been suspended with a MC113(the security concern one)

This account has been open for nearly 2 months but was not active until the end of the 1st month.

It had everything new(I'm not new to stealth so I know how to cover my tracks). IP address, name, address, phone number etc.

I sell low value items, mostly in the home and garden/decoration/clothes sector so no electronics/VERO.

However, I didn't build up a search history or make bids, wish lists etc. when I started the account because I forgot/probably got too cocky. I put buy it now listings on.

Could that possibly have been the reason why my accounts been hit with a MC113?

I spoke to them on chat and they said I need to verify my name, address and origin of items.

The point of this thread is can any one give me any advice on how not to let this happen again? Is building up a search history during the beginning stages of a stealth account really that important?

Thanks for any help!

I usually wait 2-4 weeks while bidding and browsing before starting up low-end sales on a new account

Cheers! I guess I would class my items as low value as they go from £2-£5 but they are definitely not high risk and they do not have any brands. Just common household items. So somewhere in the middle.

I just want to make sure this never happens because I'm down to 2 stealth accounts and need more back up accounts. I've opened up a fair amount of bank accounts and do not want to arouse suspicion by opening more.

i have never done any searching/watching of items to build up history.. just stayed away from VERO items for a coupleof months and then only list 1 or 2 of any one brand - try to stay under the radar.. Im 4 stealths with no VERO take downs or suspension warning (fingers crossed)

MC113 to avoid this you need 2 things:
1- do not be lazy, type your own item header
2- do not be lazy again, type long description ( Long one )

Try it with new account, list same day same hour , and let me know

Usually, the MC113 means that eBay is suspicious of the account, or what you are selling. In this case, since you say the items are not branded, my guess is they are suspicious that the account is stealth.

If selling legitimate items, then giving them your supplier should not be a problem, they might just want to make sure that you actually have the items in your possession. As far as the ID is concerned, that requires some creativity depending on what they are asking for.

with MC113 they do not ask for anything, they just say "hit the road Jack"..that is all

Well...

1) items were fishy (vero / electronics / etc.)
2) items had poor descriptions / photos
3) account was created not following ALL stealth guidelines (IP / cookies / phone, building search / bid / watch history, selling something low-risk and then waiting at least a month, etc.)
