Has anyone had a payment from managed payments yet?
 

hi all just wanted to ask if anyone has had a payment from managed payments yet. I was meant to have one today but u keeps saying processing.

So guessing the bank is in your name and the mp details are stealth which are attach to your eBay?? Did u submit docs to match the stealth eBay? So it's basically the same as before with PayPal???

Yea it seams they can't check your real name on your bank account so it looks like it's the same as submitting a bank account to PayPal I have used Halifax savings accounts on PayPal for years with mismatch names so managed payments works the same way

So no need to change any details on ebay i'm guessing ? just send in "matching" docs at the managed payments enrollment stage and you're all set ?

I did the opposite and changed my details to my real info which also worked ...

But I guess it won't work doing that to every single account I own. But i'm glad I can continue keeping my accounts now.

Did you change your ebay account details to your real name and address or just use them for the Mp application? I imagine the MP application details should match the ebay account details?

This all sounds promising, from what I have read on various boards on here its the same as verifying with PP, the banks wont release personal information so the names do not need to match.

Ys this is all great news. Couple questions: if a case if opened or you need to refund someone won't this come from your bank?? Showing a mismatch name?? Also what are mp asking for documents wise??

Okay to answer some questions, account is stealth and my bank account isn't. Take what you want from that.

With the refunds issue, what I have done is choosen weekly payouts. Just in case someone opens a case money will be taken from the scheduled payout instead of my bank account.

Don’t forget there’s 2 entries where your name goes in and it’s which one eBay uses to match to your bank. You have business name & owners name. I figured out it was the business name they was using to match names to your bank to pass you. Now to maintain or prevent links I want to change owners name to diff name ?? Has anyone had a payment through when your names on both have miss matched. I have left my business name same as it was passed. Same on all my other accounts but want to change owner names on each as that might be one of the links they use.

just curious how long does it takes for MP to make payment to your bank account?

My one is completely mismatch with savings account so no business bank account.

This is good news but still leaves accounts in a precarious situation if you ask me.

Any number of return cases can come in at anytime, so as i see it you will have to ensure enough sales are made and funds go in just after the withdrawls are made each week. That means no selling holidays at all year round.

Seems like it will be a huge worry each week after every ebay withdrawl transfer is made, unless anyone sees another option to cover potential refunds.

Thats the only option unfortunately you will have to make sure funds are available for the next payout just in case any returns come in. I have 2 returns this week both were taken from my payout so no going in to my bank account.

Ye but you know a return request is gonna come a knocking as soon as the funds are transferred to your bank. Like 30 seconds later. Any ideas what we can do???? I suppose if the eBay/adyen was in the same name as bank that would be a way around??? Can you change name on eBay???? Will the bank even reveal the name??

Yes you can change your name within ebay as james_112233 has discussed on this and other threads and for him it has worked out well so far.

What the long term implications of that will be it seems nobody knows just yet.

I am thinking of doing the same thing but my advice would be to change it to something that is a very slight variation on your actual name but one that will still enable ebay to dip into your bank if need be. That way their is no direct link through the ebay account info to any banned accounts.

I have been trialling random debit card payments in variations of my name and you would be surprised what will pass. So i don't think your bank account name has to fully match the one on your ebay account for ebay to be able to dip into your bank

Yes they will still be able to see your actual name when they dip in to your account but will they eventually link you from that, who knows
