Just registered for MP in the UK (all details the same except my address which is altered on the bank statement).

How long would they take to get back to me? And is there a possibility of a ban before activation if they smell something fishy (i ask as i want to move all my stock in 2 weeks).

I appreciate any responses :)

From reading the threads on MP the issue is with this soft credit check which happens later.. so you think you have passed the checks to then be turfed off,
I have not tried to enrol yet on MP based on the info from these threads..

Can the soft credit checks expose your real address? Thats my only concern

They dont do soft credit search or anything like this dont spread the wrong info

They definitely do identity checks.

Hmm I'm not so sure, although I could be wrong. I have made two attempts to enroll with MP and both times I have failed because of the bank account, the ID has been accepted both times. I dunno how to get around it other than maybe creating the ebay account in my real name and then loggin directly into my bank account from MP instead of sending in a document. Hopefully it will just confirm the name and perhaps they only do additional checks on people who send in documents. Does anyone know if they can see your address and DOB when you log into your bank via MP? I'm guessing theres a fair chance they cannot?

There seems to be a fair few people saying that a sof credit check is the later stage after submitting docs??

I thought it was the same as Paypal, they can't actually confirm the name and address with the bank dur to GDPR?

Yea they can't comfirm your name address with some banks Halifax for one I have signed up for MP with a Halifax savings account passed no problem with changed name on the bank statement all they can check is that it's an real account.

Well I know for fact they dont since registered legit account on mp few months ago and no search on file this is for uk account

So what high street bank would be the best (im guessing halifax?). i have used LLOYDS for now.

Did you changed the account owner into your real name or the BUSINESS name you changed into your name?

No, my stealth details are my original name and DOB. Everything else is different. I just altered my address on the bank statement. I'm not positive that my account will be up for much longer, but its luck of the draw i guess.

Never had a problem with Halifax for stealth accounts like I said changed the name on the bank account to the same as my ebay account and it passed for MP

You changed the name on the bank account or you "fixed" the bank statement? I think Halifax doesn't allow to change the name on the account, are they?

Of course I didn't change the name on the bank account just on the screenshot of the bank statement with gimp photo software.
Then upload it to ebay
Halifax does not disclose your name so ebay cannot know who the account belongs too

Luckily when i bought an account I was supplied with photo ID. However I will need to upload a bank statement I am also with halifax aswell. So im just wondering shall I get my bank statement on halifax from my phone and screenshot it and then change the address to my stealth account using gimp?

Is that correct uploading id in stealth name and bank statement in stealth name?

Screenshot it uploaded to your computer change name or address to match your ebay account and ID then upload your bank details to eBay and ID if they ask for it

Thanks for your reply! When i gave my information for MP i gave my stealth name and real bank account number and sort code. They have responded today saying info is wrong and its giving me the option to upload a bank statement. So is this when i will send the changed statement? They are not asking me for photo id yet!

Yes do that they should pass the bank statement upload with the changed name on the account statement I had no problems.

Thanks very much! Ill see if i can get creative! I tried gimp but trying to get the font exactly the same is proving difficult! I may see if anyone on here can create one for me for a fee all i need is the name changed!
