Mp id

I have successfully registered for MP and linked a bank account. Now i am being asked for ID to verify. I submitted ID and ebay says it will update me via email. I never get an email however ebay reverts back to asking for ID. Tried it twice and get the same thing. Is this common. Surely if the ID is being rejected i should get an email telling me so?
