Difference between UK MP and USA MP?

For UK, as far as I am aware the ONLY thing they can do is check bank name?
They can't even check address.
Is this correct?

Compare to USA: they have a few others like social security number and company details?

How many other things can ebay check for?

They don't seem to be checking either of those things by default on US MP. Perhaps during a manual review if you do something wrong to trigger it.

I think they check SSN with US MP ,else how can they create 1099K?
