Personal Accounts - Managed Payments
 

Hi guys,

Has anybody with personal accounts had a deadline for registering with MP yet at all please - or is it just Business sellers at this time.

I have dozens of personal accounts and only a couple have received requests to move to MP. This was back in December and I have had no messages or deadlines since.

Just wondering how long it will be until we are all forced to move to MP.

Did they force the move for the personal account, did you sign up to MP with the personal accounts?

I did not receive a deadline until now to sign up. In the past week nearly all of my accounts have been given a deadline of 31 May 2021.

Looks like stealth is over for me...

I got this: You must update your account details by 31 May 2021 to continue selling on eBay.

I had the request for one account 3 months back and then as of last week another 5 accounts all on the same day (these could be linked)
I run 8 accounts so 6 of them are close to being useless

All UK accounts, business or personal, active or inactive, busy or quiet, will be activated on 31 May.
PayPal no longer offered on new accounts!

But Good til canceled listings with PayPal will be renewed. Am I wrong?

You won't be able to sell until signed up for MP.
All listings will still offer PayPal as payment option...

Are you sure?, how do you know it?, have you asked eBay?, because as far as I know for the forum, people already passed the deadline date are able to leave the listings (but can not modify listings). In fact I think that eBay can't cancel GTC listings that end in June for instance ...

You will no longer be able list new items, relist, and revise listings on eBay.
GTC listings won't renew at end of cycle...

How do you stealth now?

I have a Personal account, Can you change details on your stealth to your real details?

My account was banned more than 10+ years ago, for not paying £8 fees when I was still at college lol, I have been stealthing on Ebay since then, address has changed too.

if you had a new address you should be able to open a new eBay account with your real name (unless it's a very unusual or rare name). I'm guessing you've bought a new computer in those eight years?
You'd also need to use a bank account that you have never used on eBay and paypal?
Am I right - I'm asking more knowledgeable people who may read this.

I had a good personal account with £17k / month limit and PayPal unlimited get hit with managed payments request

It is very unfortunate - I did want to finish this year using PayPal for selling but it looks very unlikely

Yeh New Address, many more new PCs, it was more than 10 years ago. I am thinking I should be fine making a new account?, but I do have some stealths that are in very good standing for years, if I can change the details to real ones I will probably do that, instead of trying to pass verification with stealth. I dont wanna risk losing them for failing the MP with Stealth infos.


Can anyone tell us if its possible to change stealth details to real and pass the MP set up?

I think you should open a new account with real details, and a new bank account. Do any of your stealth accounts use your real address?

Are you talking to me? No they dont, but I buy stuffs on them and have it shipped to my real address. So my real address is there somewhere.

Why do you recommend creating a new account with real infos? instead of changing the names if its possible, I have high limits on the accounts

Changing the names is kind of a big flag and would prompt documentation likely
