Not Getting Paid :/
 

ok so my account got suspended about 2 months ago, I had made one sale and ebay have about £150 of my money. They won't unsuspend my account so a couple of months ago I got onto ebay as all my details were correct but I think paypal had my old address but either way I was told :

That after 60 days the funds would automatically be sent to my bank, payment would be 20th August.

So today nothing in my bank and ebay still have my funds.

So I contacted ebay by chat again and they said I was lied to, ebay was keeping my money and that was that.

Is that right? They just keep my money with no chance of getting it? Doesn't seem right to me. I see some people have received payouts after 60 days but I dont' know if their accounts were still suspended or if they were in the UK.

Err no actually, everything was above board, as I said I think it was when I signed up my paypal address is different, other than that I have no idea why I was suspended.

If you believe you weren't breaking any of paypals policies then issue a claim in the Small Claims Court.

Ebays policies? No I wasn't, I have sent them a letter before small claims court action just now.

But I still don't understand why some people are getting paid out in 60 days, is that just a US thing?

So was this account on Managed Payments then? If not its paypal, who you mentioned in your opening post, who've got your money not ebay.

The account was setup some time ago and at the time I was using ebay and paypal when I set it up but then I changed to Managed Payments.

When I set up the account the only thing that was different was the address I used for Paypal, the account stayed dormant until a couple of months ago when I wanted to sell something and had to change to Managed Payments

So yes eBay have my money :/

If they are holding for 60 days, your payment would be released in a few days, not on day 60. Could even be a week later.

you did not state the reason for suspension? what exactly did the suspension email say?

Ah right thanks, just that the ebay person said payment would be today but even if its in a week as long as I get it!

MC113 - Your eBay account has been permanently suspended because we noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community.

That was the only thing I received and even when I contacted them they wouldnt say

the reason is clear though , this is a dormant account where you suddenly sold a high value item so the computer suspended you. this is a typical ebay attitude , they would not want to see if you actually deliver the item and get a positive feedback but will simply close you down for good

they will most likely pay out the money though because it is not an identity problem

Thought this might be interesting for some people. So I contacted eBay through Twitter as well as other methods and this is the reply I got :

Hi there, thank you for reaching out! When an account is suspended, we can hold the funds for 60-72 days just to make sure that there aren't any issues with pending transactions.
If more than 72 days have gone by since your account suspension and you haven't received your funds, please get in touch with our Managed Payments team.
They'll be able to go into the status of your payout in detail which we are not able to do through social media due to privacy and security concerns.

^^ That's Boilerplate text. It's social media. They can't be caught saying they intend to keep your money indefinitely.

What items did you sell and what was the value? Did you upload tracking right after sending your items?

It was a graphics card, after ebays rip off fees the amount I should have received was £150.

Yes for the tracking, I bought shipping through ebay so it automatically added the tracking number. Purchaser received it next day.

Shouldnt be a case of violation of policy with the sale of the graphics card

Indeed its been a complete joke to be honest, this was the only site I could info with people who have been banned etc but everything on my account was above board, correct name, address,email,bank. The only thing that was ever different was my paypal address

They even asked me to upload my documents with my address on it which I did but then asked for the email address for my paypal.

After that they said nothing more they could do and account would stay banned!

Yeah should have waited until today really but after 2 months my patience was wearing thin lol.

I did wonder if it would be the next working day but how can you have any confidence when 6 advisors told me different things

One even told me they were going to send my money to the state, I did point that doesn't happen in the UK and even if it did its usually only for property.

Another said that I would never get my money back

Another said that it would be paid with in 30 days and another within 60

And the last one told me how she deals with things like this every day blah blah and that without my account being unsuspended I wouldn't get a payout.
