if you have at least an average credit history and a permanent UK residence of more than 3 years you can open almost any account with all major banks online and don't need to go the branches , the only exception I know of is the bank of ireland

Certainly. TSB is also one of the easiest banks to approach for accounts.
There are rarely any facilities even if you open a business account and features are grossly lacking.

On the bright side, they are a stealth friendly bank.
