Ebay will get stronger and stronger and earnings and growth will continue to rise, and here are just a few of the reasons I can think of;
The purge of undesirable sellers will only give consumers more confidence to buy from Ebay. More confidence = More sales = More profits
Consumers no longer need PayPal to buy on Ebay. They now use Google pay, apple pay, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, ACH payments and more, including PayPal (for the oldtimers still shopping on Ebay) Today's youth (Ebay's future customers) are familiar with all of the payment platforms and use them elsewhere. New customers = more sales = more profits
Fewer sellers means less competition which means consumers pay higher prices. Since fees are based on total sales, higher prices = higher fees = higher profits.
More and more consumers are buying more and more products on-line every year. The percentages are increasing year after year. This leads to more sales = more profits each and every year.
Ebay is getting creative with additional promotional listing offerings, and using this technology to increase it's fees for those who use them. Increased fees = increased profits.
I'm sure that there's even more reasons, perhaps others can chime in.
