Is this something new now, just worried might have to do with Us tax etc

He must be trying to sell outside UK,like USA?
Ebay will collect sales tax from your US buyers and remit them to the state where he resides,as far as you and US tax,I dont see you paying any tax as you are in UK.
But your government may expect you to report foreign source income?
Come to think of it,does Ebay UK report your sales proceeds to your UK tax authority?
In USA,Ebay keep track of our sales proceeds and send us a copy 1099K at the end of the year,one copy t o us and one copy to Internal Revenue Service.
