verify ID through creative ways possible?

hi all

i made a new stealth account with a similar name and dob to mine as i was previously banned (one less letter and extra day in dob)

I am getting prepared for id verification which im sure ebay will ask for soon. can ebay id verification be bypassed through creative ways? i.e photoshop. it wouldnt be hard to remove a letter and change a number.

What are these databases they have access to?

Can they check the validity of Passports and Driving Licenses?

it is most likely experian or a similar agency. I don't know if they check validity but certainly if they ask to upload ID it means that the verification already failed and it is the last chance to send correct details

Usually users get suspended a few days or weeks after submitting stealth docs. Are you sure it works long term?

I have accounts lasting months after stealth ID being submitted on eBay, same with PayPal being ID limited. Uploaded the ID and haven’t had a problem since

I was thinking maybe it’s just the case of using your passport in photoshop but editing your picture I wonder if that would work instead problem is I don’t know how to do all that anyway and I’ve already uploaded my passport now.

Photoshop does sound like an interesting approach, but it's worth remembering that changing documents can be a very complicated process.
