understood - I guess the volume of these jeans might be the questionable factor on eb side

From what he is saying the bank had a problem with miss match names

Not eBay having a problem with him selling too many items or selling high risk items

The amounts mentioned were small seemed miss match has caused problem on the bank side

That's not a good idea given it's a personal bank account. Even then it would not satisfy the mismatched names issue.

I suspect they know what he's up to and with this kind of bank it ain't going to be easy to persuade them that either he's the owner of the ebay account and that the sales are of personal items.

IMO this account is dead as far as payouts are concerned, the best they can hope for is to remove the restriction and gain access to any monies held.

I'd take a guess and answer the questions as followed:

1. My partner /relative
2. Sold items through our eBay account (joint)
3. You can only register one name on eBay and the account is shared between my partner/relative and myself.

Surely that should be enough?

I'm not expert though.

Yep these seem to be the best option, say you and friend are selling stuff on ebay together to test the waters before creating a business.

I use 2 accounts from Starling and not had issues with mismatch names yet, although my payout schedule is set to fortnightly and I tend to leave the funds in there and use for all expenditures.

I use starling too and no issues like this. 7 year or so old stealth account, signed up to MP in my real name 6 months ago.

I went into eb account owner info and found my details in there, the old stealth details no longer exist? So where and how is this name mis match happening?
