Let me think,
if you are in US,I assume you file income tax return,and there is always a question asking if you have foreign bank account ,if so, where?
So now,you open a HSBC USA bank account and a HSBC UK bank account,you will have to report this HSBC UK BANK account on your 1040 tax return.
You may want to do a little research on this,IRS is keen on such.

it is better to withdraw a small portion of funds only and use the rest for payments or bank transfers , at least in the UK it is not common to receive funds in significant quantities and withdraw everything

When did you last attach? They don't work with UK accounts but they're ok if they were already attached before 12-18 months ago
