Default Is stealth dead

Hope you’re all well

I did see a similar thread from not long ago on here but that is related to account creation.

My issue is related to purchasing accounts (from sellers here or away). I’ve been stealthing on ebay for just under 10 years. Its obviously gone very hard. A newer issue I’m facing this year is the old micro deposit method is gone and now it seems ebay adds 1p then deducts it back.

With respect to everyone here we all stealth differently. Some of us have the same 4/5 eBay Stealth accounts from 5 years ago that work fine and some of us need to buy (or create) a couple of new accounts every year. This thread is for the later.

So yeah its hard to actually buy any decent ebay UK accounts now, the bank update is a ball ache as they no longer accept saver banks.

So yeah is stealth near enough dead now?

And yes, many of us may need to change our business models - try to have longevity of the stealth acxounts thats actually work as its extremely difficult to get new ones.

This year so far I’ve had 1 stealth account that I added a natwest saver its been rejected, added a HSBC saver hopefully it works. If not will need to start looking at basic current accounts.

I have another 2 (purchased) accounts on ice as honestly this has become so draining now.

I have a couple old accounts with good standing (saver banks on most) still working and still good.

Thanks all

Has anyone found a way of getting Ebay to accept bank statements when verifying a savers account like they used to?

Before the latest change you added a saver account a couple of times, Ebay would say its not valid (or similar wording) and then offer you the chance to upload a statement.

Used to upload statement and the saver would be accepted.

Definitely much tougher. We now use new accounts with receiving limit in place (just verified with VCC), and dispose of these accounts when they approach the EU/UK (insert country here) receiving limit.

Idk for a new ebay account i had recently, tried to add a saver but it was not accepted at all. Added it 4/5 times, added a vcc in between but they’re not having it.

Just thinking to open a basic current account on my gfs bank soon to add, don’t see no other options at the moment saver banks are not working at all

A saver lets you cash out once then then it starts to flag after that first cash out - so you could let your ebay get to a certain amount £300/£500 cash out (always risky leaving a balance in Ebay on a new account) and then dump the account and start again.

Why use Saver Accounts?

Why not Current Accounts?

I wouldn't say it's dead, although they have up'd their security measures.

That being said, if you do everything right (e.g. make them good profit from FVF, dispatch on time with good feedback you will be fine).

MC011's are inevitable, so modify sales invoices with all the details matching your account, should be fine.

Download your personal bank statement, use as a template, modify, print, age it a bit (scuff it/puncture holes/staple) and upload images in a physical document style.

One question I have though, why does everyone prefer to use savers accounts as apposed to current accounts?

I've been using Neo banks with success.
