opening new accounts under the main account
 

Hi, a question about banking for paypal withdrawels
I have a bank account which I can also open sub accounts under the main bank account which gives me different sort code for each sub account
what do you think is a safe number of sub accounts to open under the main bank account, I currently have 4 sub accounts open under the main bank account
do you think the bank will start kicking up a fuss if I open more under the main bank account
what do you think is a safe number of sub accounts?

Are they current accounts or savings accounts?

What bank are you with?

I have 7/8 under RBS and had no problems (touch wood)

the main bank account is just a basic account with Lloyds
I have 4 sub accounts on it which are easy saver accounts, these are working fine to draw paypal money
just wondering if I had another 3 or 4 on it would it then be too many

Why not open basic accounts with couple of other reliable banks

Be aware that lloyds is a bank that has caused issues for mismatching names in the past.

4 savings accounts is the max I would have with one bank at any one time.

which other banks will allow you to open sub accounts under the main account?
so I can have 4 sub accounts with each bank

Pretty much all banks will let you open a savings account (if that is what you mean by a sub account?)

no what I mean by sub account is in the main account you can open another account within the main account...so you have your main account and then you can open another account within that account and call it savings 1 then open another account within the main account and call it savings 2 and so on

so with lloyds you can do this but you say there not good to use.. ive had a few withdrawels into these and not had a problem so far tho...are there any other banks which would let me do that that are mismatch friendly

so which banks will let you open an account and then you have the option of opening more accounts from the same account, I want to spread some of my accounts with Lloyds as I have my main Lloyds basic account and then 6 savings account within that main bank account.. this is to many I think so I need another bank account to move 3 of them to.
so which banks will give me the option of having a main account and then just opening savings accounts online within the main account?

That is just a savings account. Not a sub account like you can get with some of the US banks.

Nearly all banks have savings accounts available as an option.

Any high street bank will always have them as options
