Sainsbury's bank suitable for stealth?
 

I have opened up a savings account with Sainsburys bank. Sent the deposits from Paypal about 2 days ago but still haven't shown in the bank.

Will Sainsburys bank allow mis matched names? will it work for stealth?

...not really seen this one before. Hopefully someone who has used a Sainsbury account will be kind enough to shed some light on this one!

Hi

How long was it between opening the savings account and adding it to paypal?

I've not used Sainsburys Bank for a while but from memory its IT system were similar to Halifax/Bank of Scotland.

I've seen the Paypal deposit fail to appear in Halifax savings account before when it has being less than 24 hours since the account was opened.

I would suggest leaving at least one working day after opening it and making a deposit from another account first before adding it to paypal and doing the paypal security deposit in future.

Yep I found the issue!
You need to have a minimum £1 balance to start using the account, I had £0 which was the problem. So the 1p transfer would not show.
I did a bank transfer of £5 to get the account started and is working perfectly now. Withdrawn £800+ this week with no issues ;)

Don't use the supermarket though.. what a rip!
