| | | chokolat1 | 01-17-2017 06:49 PM | Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment As my account has recently been suspended, I created a new account both ebay and paypal, on a new pc, new ip, new address, new email. I sold my first item and i logged into the new paypal today and saw that my account is limited.
They are asking for
- Proof of ID
- Proof of postage (which i have and wanted to add then It told me there are no recent orders!)
- Proof of address
- Supplier invoice.
Is this standard procedure? I didnt even receive an email to state this, so only found out by logging into Paypal.
Or Have they tracked something? |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-17-2017 06:52 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment It sounds like you have been linked unless the first item you sold was expensive in which case it is possible that triggered the request. |
| chokolat1 | 01-17-2017 07:12 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment The item costs £60 in total, not sure if thats classed as expensive for them
Do I just provide the proofs that they need?
Can they link a debit card number to a bank account number?
I previously used the card (debit card number only) for another account (created this month too but not for eBay!) which is not linked to eBay at all. But i used the account number from the same card for this paypal account. Both accounts are relatively new. Could this be why? as I deleted the debit card number from the first account last week. I was also under the impression that paypal cannot see the name on the account? |
| Bunneh | 01-17-2017 07:17 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment did you list a branded item? |
| fox20c | 01-17-2017 07:22 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment Also next time try listing the first item as an auction. It might help avoid any extra scrutiny. |

The item is Vero but all ok on eBay after purchase |
| chokolat1 | 01-17-2017 07:33 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment I am also going to create another steath account. What should I do with regards to paypal? I have a another paypal account since 2007, which wasnt used with my suspended account on eBay, expect for a small purchase last year. (No selling or receiving payments on it from eBay)
Would it be too risky to use that old paypal account with a new stealth account? |

Would it be too risky to use that old paypal account with a new stealth account? | The small purchase last year can be enough to cause a link - don't RISK it. Make new pp with new stealth... |
| Bunneh | 01-17-2017 08:13 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment if you list VERO it will keep happening on new paypal accounts. you need to earn trust first. Just because your ebay didnt go down, it doesnt mean it is okay to sell, because paypal is the problem.. |
| sriwaheguru | 01-17-2017 09:48 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment Start selling low value items on new paypal account. One you have good selling history then you can try high value items. |
| chokolat1 | 01-18-2017 04:18 AM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment Thanks guys
Also as I only sold 1 item, could I get away with telling them I do not have a supplier invoice, this item was mine ?
Just worried that as its obviously a new account, and i am meant to take it slow, a supplier invoice would show x10 items therefore they may suspend the account? |

Would it be too risky to use that old paypal account with a new stealth account? | You just be careful about making links.
May I suggest you do not make any more accounts until you grasp about the dangers of getting linked.
Good Luck.

Keep in mind that pp is notorious for not reinstating accounts in spite of providing them the info....best of luck |

Or Have they tracked something? | Sounds like you're doing something wrong.. I would recommend eBay Stealth if you haven't read it already.. it will walk you step by step to create stealth eBay/PayPal accounts that last.
Good luck! |
| chokolat1 | 01-18-2017 02:51 PM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment Thanks guys, will give it another read.
I was just wondering though about the PayPal limitation - should I provide them with all what they need, what about supplier information, as I only sold 1 item, can I say it was mine? |
| rookprop | 01-19-2017 03:13 AM | Re: Paypal limited after receiving 1st payment He already said he linked his credit card. PERIOD.
NO. Dont give them anything. THEY LINKED YOU. Create new accounts after learning how to make new accounts properly. |
