UK PayPal bank account verification
 

Hello,

I just tried to verify bank account on UK Paypal. The verification way seems a bit strange because in other countries when you try to verify your bank account you receive two small amounts and you have to enter in PayPal what amounts you have received. Now I was asked to write the code which should have appeared on my bank account statement. (I haven't got any code yet)

Is this normal? Does it mean that I had to have some money in my bank account?

A few people have reported issues with Barclays. Give it a couple of days and see if the code comes through. It will come through as a single transaction with the 4 digit code being visible in the transaction details

the amount is 0.01p

Should take around 3 days.

So the code should come with the amount which will be transfered by Paypal? I mean not like verifying card when PayPal temporary charges your card?

0.01p is deposited with a 4 digit code. Usually it's instant but sometimes takes a few days.
