Paypal permanently limited
 

So today I received an email that my paypal was permanently limited

"We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy regarding your sales / offers "

They then refer to 1 transaction ID, an item which I only sent yesterday , and buyer has not even received it yet.

I have nothing on eBay, no messages from them, none of my items were removed.

Anyone experienced this? Has someone perhaps reported something straight to paypal bypassing eBay?

Paypal have systems which automatically detect what you sell. For whatever reason they don't like the item you sold.

Would they straight away put a permanent restriction in place?
I see other people on eBay selling the same item as me, and lots more of it, seems without problems :-/

It.can happen yes.

Some accounts get away with selling things whilst others don't.

Alot can depend in the age and history of the paypal account.

What a bugger.
The PP account is quite old, about 7 years old, never used with ebay before , was now used with a new ebay account.
Also , i am stuck with just over £400 sitting there, they do say they review after 30 days, do you know how likely they will release it after 30 days, if theres no disputes or anything? Or will they still keep it for the full 180?

Without knowing what you have been selling, it may be worth a call to paypal. If you sell normal items and it's really only one item that's an issue, you may get a sympathetic rep who will help you.

Whether it's 30 days or 180 I couldn't say.
