Paypal acc permanently limited
 

hey guys, so after a good run of 9yrs i finally get the dreaded email that my account has been permanently limited! Feel absolutely gutted at the moment considering i'll have to also lose an eBay acc with NO selling limits and a ton of feedback!

Got an email saying:

We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy regarding your sales / offers of xxxxxxx on ebay,
user ID: xxxxx.

Please refer to:
- Transaction xxxxxxxx

Therefore, your account has been permanently limited.

Per the User Agreement, when PayPal permanently limits an account due to an
Acceptable Use Policy violation, we may hold your funds up to 180 days. We
will review your account at 30 days from the date of this email, we will
calculate our exposure and will release any excess funds to you for
withdrawal. If there are any funds remaining in your account at this time,
we will review your account every 30 days until either all your funds have
been made available to you for withdrawal, or a period of 180 days from the
date your account was limited is reached. Please log in to your PayPal
account and verify that your account information is accurate, as PayPal
cannot be held responsible for incorrect information provided by the
account holder.

You will need to remove all references to PayPal from your website/s and/or
auction/s. This includes not only removing PayPal as a payment option, but
also the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.

The PayPal User Agreement states that PayPal, at its sole discretion,
reserves the right to limit an account for any violation of the User
Agreement, including the Acceptable Use Policy.


Under the Acceptable Use Policy, PayPal may not be used for the sale of
prescription drugs that violate applicable laws or industry regulations or
for products that present a risk to consumer safety. PayPal considers the
marketing of a product and may restrict transactions for products marketed
to act like or function the same as a prescription drug. PayPal also may
restrict transactions for recalled drugs, unapproved drugs and dietary
supplements that have been banned by governmental agencies.

I was selling anti dandruff shampoo!! I picked up a bunch of these in boots on sale for 50p, checked ebay lots of people selling them. As far i was aware these were/are GSL medicines, according to the emc website they're also classified GSL (general sales list) so it's not a pharmacy only item or prescription only item.

In an ideal world i'd really love to get my account back and wondering if it's worth my effort trying to appeal this and if it is then what do i say?

Is this your real account or a stealth?

It's worth a shot calling up and seeing if a rep can help. Seems pretty harsh on a 9 year old account!

its my real account sadly......think i'll either give them a call or drop them an email, thankfully though only less than £100 in the account for them to hold on to and have a tea party with!!

sent an email to them at the euaup address over 24hrs ago and no reply, any idea how long it is before they normally respond to you?

And now to make life even better! I did buy 2 stealth accs a long while back ago, used them for their intended purpose and then put them into retirement for a rainy day, and now i have no idea where i stored the info and don't even remember the user id's let alone the email addresses! Talk about having a good week!! :deadhorse:

What where you selling?..sounds like it could be something fishy that concerns PayPal.
