paypal froze account, balance is -£750, what will happen?

hi all,

one of my stealth accounts got shut down,

and paypal froze my account, they reversed like that last 15 transactions although i had shipped product out and thus it left me out of pocket about

negative £750

so now my balance is -£750

and because i cannot use ebay/paypal with this account its been stuck at -£750

but will they debit it out of my actual bank account???

anyone shed any light what will happen?

thanks guys

They will give you a certain period to pay up. If you don't restore the balance, they will attempt to charge your credit card on file. If that fails, I believe they will charge the bank account.

oompaloompa 05-17-2009 11:15 AM

what was the reason they did it

cortex 05-18-2009 12:19 PM

did the £750 make it into your bank account?

spookycloud 05-19-2009 06:31 PM

What is that like $900 in american dollars?
Either way I still think that paypal will get you even if your account is stealth with f a k e info because if you close your bank and credit cards paypal can just trace the I.P. address and get in contact with your internet provider which will then tell paypal your real address and then they will come and get you.
Im not sure if this is true its just that it is possible.....

stop ****ting the guy up

don't worry they won't do anything

trace ip address thru ISP? dont be such a twit

spookycloud 05-20-2009 11:47 AM

Do a search on the internet they will call your isp provider and get your real address dont believe me look it up.

I find it hard to believe that your ISP would release your personal information without your consent to anyone. Doesn't that fall into their privacy policy? I think it is worth checking into.

Just make sure you close your bank account on file and if there is a credit card on file, take it off. You should be ok?

NOPE absolutely not possible.

Under the privacy laws there is no way they can get this info unless it is consented by you.

and what Aking said is perfect, with regards to your Credit Card and Savings Account :)

Firstly, if your ISP revealed that information, they would be violating privacy. Do you think BIG ISP gives a rat's heinie about PP and a few bucks? No worries there. On the ridiculously low probability that somebody would give up the goods, you'd do well to hire a lawyer and sue the ISP. Quite lucrative...

Also, the careful person does not use their own IP address... If you were to backtrace the IP I connect via, you would sometimes get the proper city, but nothing more definite than that. Most of the time, you would be off by at least one county.

Credit cards won't, but remember how some banks give all your info out to paypal? I wonder if what they're doing is illegal.

Well now since you shipped every item to the people and they received goods, then paypal stealing from you to give to buyers is highly illegal (I thought only google checkout and 2checkout did that). If you used your real info on the account, then you should contact every law enforcement agency about what paypal did. If not, close the accounts associated with paypal and then tell paypal that you already shipped all the items out and what they're doing is stealing and you will be abandoning the account.

Your ISP will not give your information to PayPal or eBay, they will only give away that information if the police ask for it and the police of FBI or whatever don't care about eBay or PayPal. Your safe, close the bank account, cancel the credit card (unless it prepaid) and PayPal can get screwed.
