Old PayPal Debts
 

I apologise for the fact that at the moment I only seem to be asking questions rather than offering help; I hope that will change as I gain experience in the field of stealth accounts, but for now please bear with me!

Scenario: I have a PayPal account which gets closed down because I owe then quite a bit of money. I forget about it, start a new one, but because I hadn’t found these forums at the time I didn’t take the necessary precautions to avoid linking.

This second PP account has now been restricted and has been linked to the old one. My question is can PayPal take money from this account towards the debt on the old one?

Yep. They have been known to take from account B to fix the balance of account A:pout: NOW here's one potential problem. If paypal account B has no funds in paypal & a bank account attached, they might try to pull
the funds from the bank account.

As far as I know, there has been only person here who said that happened to them. The details on both paypal accounts would have to be the same, paypal is getting smarter! lol

In my case the name on PP Account "A" is different to the name on PP Account "B". I assume they were linked through IP address and/or the home address and/or the phone number.

Thinking aloud, though, surely there could be two people living at the same place, sharing the same phone and computer, so could PP really take from one account to pay another when for all they know they could be taking from one person's account to pay another's debts...? Or am I missing something here?

Good point re the bank account GreenBean. Fortunately there's nothing in it!!

This is where paypal are outright nasty. 'They' could try to force/con a payment. Speaking out loud, I would tell my bank to not allow paypal any access to the bank account: I hate overdraft fees;)
