Small claims court to get money back before 180 days?
 

Has anyone successfully taken PP to the SCC and got their money back quicker than the 180 days time period?

I've seen people taking paypal to small claims court to get their money back after the 180 days has passed and they are not accepting documentation so refusing to release money, PP don't turn up, they sent PP the judgement paypal promptly release funds..

I have to wait 150 days for a large charge of money to be release from paypal on my genuine account but I'm done with them, in general my business is high risk and I can't be dealing with these limitation bull****.

I guess I can't really take them to SCC BEFORE the 180 days has elapsed due to the fact when signing up I agreed to their TOS?

If it's a legit / genuine paypal account you got nothing to worry about. They will definitely release the funds after 180 days. I wouldn't bother with small claims court or even contacting them.

And why did they limit your account any way ? this happened to me selling high risk electronics but after I supplied invoices of my purchases ( I bought my stock off other ebay sellers ) and a copy of my ID limits were lifted within days ...

Hi, yes it's fully legit, it's just I don't want to wait that long for my money, they are cheesing me off as it is already.

Sadly, I accidentally logged into another paypal account which was previously limited which got me linked, this meant my docs were rejected, well they didn't tell me the reason but obviously it is the case.

PP have yet to defend a court action, so it will go in your favour - if it goes that far. So issue the paperwork, its only like £100 or so, and drop PP an email with a copy of the paperwork.

Now that's hard to imagine.

And, if you win, how do you plan to compel PP, which is based in the US, to comply?

This seems highly speculative to me.

Not really sure what you are on about.

eBay Uk have never defended a case in Uk court. Thats common knowledge, in the UK. Obviously not to you, not being here en all.

If a person wins a County Court case, and PayPal do not pay out, you send it to the High Court for enforcement, and then engage the High Court Sheriffs, who will pop over to PayPAls Offices and legally liberate them of everything they can to pay cover the debt.

I have no interest in the US and its legal system, and nor should anyone who is trading in the UK using PayPal UK.

You're telling people PP NEVER defends a court action in the UK. On what extensive experience do you base that?

Also, a UK court has no authority in the US. No UK sheriff is going to 'pop over' to San Jose CA USA and 'liberate' any money.

Lol, I'm based in the UK, so Paypal US is of no concern to me, as Paypal UK is completely different to Paypal US and most importantly, Paypal UK is the one whom I have the issue with.

Judging by all the post online in relation to Paypal UK, they have NEVER defended a small claims court action against them.

It's really not complicated to get your money out before 180 days, there are multiple options and directions one can take.

Out of a legit account yes it’s possible (first hand experience), out of a stealth accounts it’s not as far as I am aware but I have never tried

Agreed, everyone has different experiences with PayPal.

Man, don't do it please. They keep the money to cover possible chargebacks which can be done up to six months after the transaction, so not really their choice. You will get your money, don't help turn paypal into amazon.
