PayPal Safe amount of income

Hello, I’ve searched around the forums and I couldn’t find the answer to a simple yet important question, that is:

How much is a safe amount to make on PayPal without getting limited?

Of course this does depend on a lot of factors and I mean a lot

But is there a General rule for an account that is a couple of months old with 15+ transactions and feedback on eBay

Any input is much appreciated, thank you all

Impossible to give an exact answer

When an account seems pretty strong though as a rule of thumb I never go over £5000 a month into the PayPal. That is with accounts that are a year old though and have a lot more than 15 transactions

You are better off selling £2k a month on 10 accounts than selling 10k a month on 2 accounts anyway.

I would keep the accounts as low a possible but have more of them.

That way you never get hurt too badly by a limitation.

Thanks all your responses

In more specificness I'm talking about a newer account with 10+ transactions on it

And yup I've got 10 accounts and will be spreading the sales

Even then I don't trust PayPal and am moving very cautious with them as it takes a finger click for them to end someone's livelihood lol

Thanks again

There is no quantity of money that someone can state as being "safe" as this is not the only factor that determines the risk of limitation.

If for example, your items were counterfeit or were being sold new way below RRP, this would flag to Paypal and you chance of limitation would be much higher. The type of item is also a big factor.

I try to never go over £3k on aged accounts.

Just stay below VAT threshold on eBay - tends to work out in the long run on stealth accounts. Also as mentioned spread sales across several accounts to avoid any disappointment should one ever get limited...

And spread sales over several accounts - always have backups going, don't rely only on one. There is no general coverall rule as James indicated.
