Paypal Account Limited
 

Hi there

I had a stealth account limited on 14th February 2018. I haven't supplied any ID or company documents as yet.

After the 180 days will Paypal just release the limitation hold or is it indefinite?

Welcome to the forum - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:

In MOST cases, after 180 days the funds become available - there are number of reports of funds being locked afterwards pending ID or other proof but these are still not the norm

Is this for a UK paypal? I ask because since you joined in 2015 (nudge nudge rsot), UK paypal can be very difficult for some to obtain funds.

Do you mind telling what happened?

Paypal limited stealth account on 14th February due to exceeding receiving limit and requested a high amount of documents to prove ID and proof of stock ownership etc. There was something in the region of 12 items they required so I have just left account waiting for it to go over the 180 day limit and see what happens. I will provide an update once I reach that anniversary.

Just to provide an update - Paypal have emailed me to advise that the funds in the stealth account are eligible for withdrawal.

But I am having a problem finding a bank account which doesn't need id or is there a VCC I can buy to get the funds out of the account??

Any help or advice appreciated.

Bank account only for withdrawals with UK PayPal.

Add any UK bank account that has a sort code and account number. Names don't need to match.

Is that a definite?? As I have a bank account which isn't linked with any paypal but its in my sons name

Yes. Why not your own? Doesn't have to be a current account. Can be a basic account or savings account. You can use your sons but I wouldn't if it's a kids account.

Yea you can withdraw with any bank account that hasn't been linked to another paypal.

Do I withdraw the whole amount or do I split it into different amounts?

Also, can Paypal still stop the withdrawals even though its past the 180 day limit?

I would try and withdraw the lot in one go. No guarantees the system will let you.

If it doesn't, you will have to decrease the amount until it does let you.

Tried withdrawing and its asking for confirmation of "who I am" like verifying the telephone no or the wire card used to set up the account...Advice please

An Update

I did find that I had added a bank account and made several withdrawals before the account was limited. So I made a withdrawal and up flashed a message advising it will be under review so may take longer than 24 hours.

That's pretty standard. I'm not sure they actually get 'reviewed' as it happens all the time.

Now that you've successfully closed that chapter, you should grab the stealth book. You'd need it if you plan on getting back on eBay.
