EU receiving limit
 

Would appreciate some advice please.

Is the limit based on a calender year or rolling 12 month period?

If you get to say £1700 and get asked for docs, and don't provide them but don't pay anything in for say 3 months, will the request drop off or does it stay there for ever?

12 month period

If you trigger the request then you have to provide the documents within 180 days

Thanks for that.
So I get to £1700 over a 12 month period and get the request.
Then don't use the account for 3 months, so the amount over the 12 months falls below £1700, does the request fall away?.
Also, if I don't provide within 180 days, but at the end of the 180 days my 12 month balance is, say, £1000, will the clock be reset and the request dis appear?

If you have triggered the request it will not go away regardless of time and you have to provide what they have asked for within 180 days or you get fully limited

Thts right :)

Usually passing the EU limit isn’t too hard though so shouldn’t be that much of an issue if you do go over it
