PayPal billing address and adding card
 

Hi
I’m setting up a paypal account, different name, not to be used with eBay. Just to receive money. Have separate phone, sim, etc will be using mobile internet. The app gives me 2 options. Add bank account or add card. Want to put my card on there to put money into. Asks for card details, then wants me to tick the billing address. This is stealth address so differentnto card. Will they see if my card is linked to address? Or will the address just be used on invoices etc.?

You need to use a VCC

Real cards cannot be used if the address does not match

Besides James advice OP, the app is dangerous for stealth OP - you should stop using it if you plan to follow the path of stealth and deal with multiple accounts

Thanks, it will only be used for the one PayPal account, nothing else. And will be using mobile internet.

One question, James said real cards can’t be used if the address doesn’t match? How do I remove money into my account then?

In UK you can only withdraw to bank acc.

It would be withdrawn to a bank account, just be in my real name, not stealth name

You add a bank account (account number and sort code)

And doing it on the app it won’t want the billing address?

Cards always need a building address added

Bank accounts do not

Added bank account, PayPal said put small deposits in, I need to confirm it’s nunver to verify bank account. Will this let PayPal see bank account address? It’s didferent to PayPal stealth address

âfaik, and as i read it in 100+ treads here..
no trhis is no problem, 2 options:

only SEND/WITHDRAW money from paypal TO Bank --> no name, no problem

BUT!! when paypal wants to pull money from your bank it will see your bank name!
so never ever pay with paypal when not enough balance in paypal, never allow to pay from bank!

backamblock is correct about adding funds from bank account (pp could see the real name this way)
- but PP can't see your bank account address without legal intervention so you are ok
