PayPal not releasing money after 180days
 

Hi,

So 180 days passed since my money was held on a Stealth Account, I was still unable to withdraw funds so contacted PayPal by email multiple times before getting a response today (1 week later), They are requesting a valid form of Identification (Passport or Birth Certificate) and a copy of a government issued document (such as a tax bill)

I already sent in Proof of ID (Driving Licence) and Proof of Address (Utility Bill) when I hit EU limits before the restriction, which weren't accepted hence the 180 day hold.

What are the chances of me getting the money released? As I don't want to spend money on getting ID created if it'll be a waste of time.

The amount of money held is almost £900

They are verifying ID documents sent in with a database called world check. Another UK user posted about the same thing this morning and the PP rep told them about how they verify ID's sent in.

In short, it would probably be a waste of money to have a "creative ID" made with invalid info.

Do they use world check when they remove EU limits?

What if ID is not EU. Lets say from georgia or ukraine. Will ID-check work?

try to withdraw the money using different phones or tablets( make sure they are not used with paypal before )

i had £1800 plus stuck which eventually ended up being transferred one day out of blue moon when i though '' lets try to withdraw''

may not work worth trying though

When you get to this point only genuine ID will get money released.
Apparently some people on here had success pursuing paypal via courts in UK to get their money. Many posts about this subject on forum.

I have stupid question. Stealth account wilth ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id not releasing money. Will it works if I sent them different ID with completely different photo and name and explain that account was created with random name? Will it works?

Don’t need genuine ID

1: make a formal complaint to PayPal.
2: make a complaint to the financial ombudsman (if that doesn’t work)
3: send letter before action to PayPal
4: make small claims against PayPal.
5: bet ya PayPal fold,

From my own success on 3 stealth accounts.

You’ve got to have balls to do it and bluff PayPal! They will fold and release money.

Thanks for advice, but how can I make small claims with stealth UK account? I am living outside UK.
I have tried with financial ombudsman first , but no luck. Then I opened claim on CSSF.LU but they refused to proceed investigation, because claim was already opened on FO. Thanks
