Prepaid Visa from Gospentit not recognized by Paypal

Just a heads up.

Purchased a prepaid Visa card from Morrisons supermarket. PayPal UK refused to accept it. It's one of the cards from: Gospendit.

Most of the Visa ones are non-AVS. The MasterCard one is AVS.

Not necessarily the cause of the problem, but worth considering.

I added the address into the Gospendit website, and assumed that would be ok.

Doesn't make any difference if you add an address or not. The card isn't AVS.

As I said earlier, it may have nothing whatsoever to do with your problem but in general non-AVS cards cause more issues than AVS ones.

Ok, so a MC prepaid card from the supermarket are ok?

All I'm saying is the Mastercard ones are AVS and are less prone to causing problems. I'm not saying it will definitely resolve the issue in this case.

I've seen a few instances in the last few months when a newly created Paypal account will not allow ANY VCC to be added.

most of the mobile banking apps that come with cards once fully verified you can just change the address on the app without any verification. You can then use the card for your PayPal.
