item sent + buyer paypal charged back = send special del??
 

hi guys,

on 25th jun 2009, i sold an item to someone for £400. they payed by paypal, and are verified. and i sent the item.

well it was dropshipped.

anyways i woke up to an email saying.

We were recently notified that one of your buyers filed a chargeback. This
simply means they asked their credit card issuer to reverse a payment made
to you purchased on 25 Jun 2009.

The buyer claims that this purchase was made without their authorisation to
use the credit card. Their credit card issuer needs additional information
from you about this transaction to help resolve this.

What is the best way to deal with this :(


i was thinking on monday to post a letter Special delivery to there address,

and wait a few days til its tracked/signed for...
then go into paypal resolutions and submit tracking number???

will i win the case??

any advice??

NO DON'T DO THAT!

You have 7 days to post to be elligible for seller protection.

If you send now, you won't obviously be eligible, plus, the chances are he will be expecting a tracked item and won't sign anyway!

Kinda late to be sending now, just to get a tracking number. That's pretty much a see-through solution.

Why didn't you get a tracking number back in June?

You can reply to the CC issuer and show the ebay transaction Details Page. Make a screen shot of it and send. That PROVES that the person bid and won the item. Will show their Real Name and Shipping Address. That nullifies the buyer claim that it was unauthorized. Usually.
