i just started selling again and sold 5 items and received positive feedback on the 4th item just before i sold the 5th item but the 5th item payment is on hold until i post it.

how can i stop it so i get the payment straight away?

You have to wait until you receive 20 DSR's or 100 feedback in order to get your items do not have a hold anymore. The sooner you ship out your items, the sooner your payment will be released. Usually within minutes after a positive feedback is left, payment is released or about 3 days after shipment has arrived, your payment will be released.

To find a seller’s detailed seller ratings, click the number in parentheses next to the seller’s user ID. On the seller’s Feedback Profile page, you’ll see the detailed seller ratings in a table on the top right.

Tip: If you’re a seller, visit your Seller Dashboard to see how your buyers have rated you. You’ll see your ratings and find out how they compare to those of other eBay sellers.

what if buyers dont fill out dsrs, I never bother when I buy then how does it affect seller?

It affects sellers negatively, Ebay looks at DSRs. Some sellers put a little note in the package asking for five stars and reminding buyers not to forget....

Its a poor system, buyers may not know they have to fill it, it should be compulsary or not at all, otherwise its luck of the draw..
