Funds finally eligible to withdraw after 180 days BUT

I cant seem to add a bank account to withdraw the funds to lol.

PayPal asked on the phone do I have a friend or family member that has PayPal - so PayPal can then send the balance of my account to them. Seems a bit odd, I am reluctant to do this.

Apparently I have someone phoning me back with a view to help me withdraw the funds to my bank. I am sure someone on here said you just need to phone in and they can add the bank over the phone or something?

They have an automated phone system which can be used to add a bank account. At least that's how it works for US accounts. Do you not have that for UK accounts?

There is an automated system for that yes but it does not work when you go through it - just says there is a problem adding that bank account every time (no matter which account I try). It will be because of the permanent limit (got the dreaded excessive risk email out of the blue).

Have you been able to withdraw your funds?

Am having same issue with my uk PayPal, I can't add a bank account, gave PayPal my friend's PayPal email as requested by PayPal. So far it's been 10 days paypal still haven't transferred the funds

Contact them by chat and they can help you add a bank but you need to have your phone number active to receive sms.

I’ve had this loads of times. If the automated system doesn’t work just call in, it’s something that needs ‘toggling’ on their end. Sometimes they can do it whilst you’re on the phone, other times they have to send it to the back office.

You’ll get an email within 12-24 hours and it’ll allow you to withdraw. Just call in and it’ll get sorted.

I just called in, PayPal rep said for some reasons she's unable to bypass the security, that the only way out now is to provide a friend's PayPal email to transfer my balance to.
