PayPal's definition of 'a few days'...
 

"We'll get back to you in a few working days"

I may be jumping the gun here, it's technically only been 6 working days since submitting documents for a temporary limitation, but roughly how long do you have to wait for them to reviewed these days? A few days to me is 3 or 4...:d

They called it a 'temporary limitation'. It seems I can still use the account as normal, the only thing I can't do is close it. Would it be worth calling them and speaking to a human, should I attempt to email them, or should I just wait it out a bit longer and keep my fingers crossed?

If the only thing you cant do is close it then it is the EU limit. you recived 1800 EUR (or equivalent in other currencys).

When you recive 2500 EUR they will limit it completly and you can not withdraw or recive money.

As long you do not reach 2500 EUR they are not in hurry to check your docs and it can take up to 30 days (that's what i ve been told by paypal). If you contact them by chat they can make an internal ticket to speed it up.

After you reach 2500 EUR it usually takes 1-2 days.

I would not risk to reach 2500 EUR since you might not pass the EU limit (beter just wait or send a transaction to the account which you can refund if you do not pass the limit). Speaking to paypal by phone is like talking to a wall. do not waste your time
