paypal verification
 

I have set up an ebay account using a different name and address and carried these exact details onto my new paypal account.

I tried testing ebay by selling something but it says I cannot sell until paypal verified and I have linked that paypal account to my ebay account.

To be paypal verified I have to enter a bank account, but do paypal check the name and address of the account holder because I have a 'spare' savings account but it is in my real name and address - do paypal just check that the account exists or do they go deeper and check the name and address

Also I've read on the forum that the paypal and ebay accounts shouldn't be linked so does this mean I cannot sell without linking

savings accounts are unlikely to work but check with the bank first, they normally dont allow direct debit and that is the reason they get rejected..

no normally paypal and bank dont know ach others details but occasionally it happens, reports of Llyods sharing info..
