Withdrawal To Card From Limited Paypal: WISE debit card?

I have few old limited paypal accounts from UK, that are long time gone over 180 days and I received email that I can withdraw funds from them.

When I go to paypal withdrawal page I can see option to add debit or credit card for withdrawal/transfer

Will a WISE debit card (personal account) work?

I'm not sure if it works today...
Before months ago it worked perfectly

Yeah I tried it but it didn't work

Wondered if it was just me or everyone

(qn to UK folks)

Do you know if adding a WISE UK bank account works (instead of card)?

Don't want to "waste" a go

I wanted to help you with this, I know how difficult it can be to lose money on PayPal.
I asked two great friends, and they told me that in this case you would have to have a UK bank or call to use the card, it seems to be your mistake alone.
I hope that helps

Yes, withdrawing to a wise account is possible, but if you need to withdraw from a limited paypal account it must be in your name

Re: Withdrawal To Card From Limited Paypal: WISE debit card?

I signed up for a Transfer Wise (now just Wise) many years ago, I just logged in to it. I originally signed up not for Stealth reasons but so a person in Belgium without PayPal could pay me. When they paid me it went directly in to my bank account.

After reading the above post I see there is a chance I can withdraw to Wise from PayPal. I just noticed there is an option within my Wise account, that I haven't used for years, for me to "get account details". I presume I need to do that before I try and withdraw to my Wise account from PayPal ?

Does asking for account details from Wise and getting a debit card from them put me on any "authority maps" that I wasn't before ? Do Wise have to report all my info to UK authorities like most banks do or are they not part of that system ? I am using my legit name and address. I wasn't sure if getting a physical debit card suddenly puts you on some kind of banking system shared with all authorities. I know my Natwest account shows up on Clear Score even though it doesn't have a overdraft, I presume because it is a proper bank.

First, Wise is not a bank; it's an EMI (Electronic Money Institution) but regulated like a bank.
Unlikely they report anything.

You can simply get a digital debit card where details show up immediately.
AFAIK digital card is indiscernible from the physical one you get in the post.

I could never withdraw funds into my Wise a/c.
I entered card details immediately with no prior transactions use

I heard some say that you must keep the card there for weeks/month(s) prior & must have used it for some transactions previously (?)

I stand corrected on the above if anyone says otherwise
