Default What Do Paypal Ask "Your Supplier"

My Paypal was limited and i had to send them my invoices.

Anyway got "My invoices" and put a real suppliers name & phone number on the invoice, a legit one which i dont use, and submitted it. I than phoned Paypal and spoke to them, and they ask me is it o.k for them to phone my supplier and ask abot me i played it cool even though i have never used that supplier in my life, and iam using stealth name & address, and said "yeah no problem i have nothing to hide"

Half hour later my account limitation was lifted

But i was wondering do Paypal actually phone the supplier, or do they just Google it to make sure the are legit supplier?

Also if they do phone suppliers, what do they ask???

Hopefully a "DIY Supplier" knows from experience

I look forward to hearing about this one.
I had a thought.....Could you set up a phone line that connects a "not your number" to your actual phone (cell) and you answer to answer their questions? If you need to do this according to the Stealth handbook for a new account, I would think you could also use it for this purpose.

Just wondering has anyone here put their own number as a supplier and has spoken to Paypal "As a Supplier"?

I think captainjack answered that. Although I reckon you would have to change your voice if Paypal are going to ring 'both of you' within minutes.

give an invoice and make it believable...depends what you sell, with some things its almost impossible in large quantities though eg. rolex watches bought for practically nothing in bulk! Avoid large amounts of anything that cannot be accounted for....

No genuine supplier would give Paypal any personal information about you. No different to me ringing them and asking whether some of you had bought such and such from them. You won't get anywhere. Paypal probably just confirm it is a legitimate supplier that's all, they can't check that you were supplied by that company without somebody infringing your Data Protection Rights.

I have made bulk lot auctions of the items I am going to sell on 1 screen name and actually buy it from myself on another screen name shortly after its listed for sale...then claim I bought the items on ebay and are reselling them if paypal bugs me about my products. Sort of puts the breaks on the where you getting your stuff from quick.

I only tried it on items I had a lot of... so duplicates basically. The name I buy from only sold that 1 auction most of the time and has zero connection to my ebay name I push it out through on real auctions.
