Need help with phone verification

Hi

can someone please please tell me what are the best companies for phone verification.
I have read the forums, but need to know some UK companies that i can get around 5 numbers.
Thanks alot for your help and this forum, without it we would be all lost

if you are talking about paypal verification, match needs to be close to address....

virtual numbers are better than voip for this, do a search there are alot of virtual number providers etc etc...its not about company its about ringing round to get correct match for address you are using

- if its your actual address, you could try bt callsign

paypal doesnot not phone verification; ebay needs that.

in UK, pp does location verifcation, if the call fails, letter goes to address.....

With help of this forum. I finally managed to verify my details by phone.. Voip is great for this...it's cheap and i have about 4 numbers.
This was a hurdle for me so thank you to all those on this forum.

voip for paypal location verification - interesting, alot of people have said voip has failed ...thats good to hear though

eternity4u 03-14-2010 09:46 AM

The company was soho.i diverted the call to my mobile.. But somehow it did not work for ebay..i got one of my old account reinstated...which was four and half years old...i did not have access to the old number so used a new voip number...it was saying having problems to contact. I think it was due to change the number fast and my second account on the same address had the old number which i did not update.
Anyway chated live with ebay and she helped me verify through my second account.
I would let everyone know tonight for a another ebay account if voip would work or not...

voip works for ebay seller account - I can verify that and it does not have to be an area match either

Hi!

Sorry my english is not verry good :P

I won't open new accaunt in Ebay end I have problem in landline number(I use this number 5 times so no way to use this number again)

I buy number in Skype (cost 11GBP per 3 month)

When I have complete registration writen my new Skype number then Ebay calling to me (everything its ok but...) Ebay asking to push button in phone I can't push any buttons becouse I don't have dial number in Skype program :(

Five days ago I buy Phone via USB connection compatybile in Skype.

My question is....

If Ebay calling to me end when I have this phone plug to USB port when asking push button this will by works in this USB phone?

Thank You.

oompaloompa 03-16-2010 06:50 AM

firstly jemi are you really in UK? You are supposed to put your real country flag up even if you have a UK account

skype isnt good to use with ebay, as skype has an ownership relationship with ebay..

you may have to redirect to a landline to be able to push a button or get the dial tone that ebay needs to hear down the line to verify the digits you are pushing

Jemi85 03-16-2010 05:38 PM

Yes I live in the UK. I had a few accounts on Ebay but all are locked (5 times I registered an account with my home phone and have exhausted the limit). I created a new account but I can not sell: (

So I can not verify my account on Skype and USB phone?
The problem is that I need a DTMF tune? Is Ebay verify your account only by using home phone?

And maybe they are USB phones that have the function of the DTMF?
Does this solve that problem?

Are there any other methods to verify the status of the seller's account?

Please, help : (

just buy a voip number, it doesnt even have to be in your area, they will cost from £1.99per month, if you dont want to keep it, then cancel it and replace with mobile...

NZT 03-17-2010 06:33 AM

Keep the voip number for at least 6 months or the companies get p****** off and this will affect us all if they get p****** off

Jemi85 03-17-2010 11:49 AM

So where I can Buy the VOIP number for 1.99 paunds?

How I push the button when Ebay calling to me in verify code?

I nedd dial tone right?

oompaloompa 03-17-2010 02:55 PM

it redirects to your landline

yes, forgot to say, if you do cancel it, keep it for a few months Neo is right, weve had a few problems with that....

lots of companies
