withdrawing funds from paypal to bank account
 

Question 1 :

When you make a withdrawal from your paypal account to your bank account the funds go through an initial paypal pending stage , how many business days does this ' pending ' stage last ?

It can be anywhere from 24 hours all the way to 72 hours it varies. It also can be within mins. But usually 24 to 72 hours.

Is the 73 hrs only during paypal working hours within the uk , i.e mon - friday 8.00 - 6 or is it inclusive of weekends also ?

No it's 24 to 72 hours pending total time I belive that PayPal never closes.

it took them the full 3 days to process my payment so it is now at the complete stage

i did a withdrawal i think on a friday... went into my account on monday. i was actually surprised... (£5 faster payments)

i expected it to be on wednesday due to the weekend.

I never pay the extra for the 1-2 days , my money gets paid into my account very quickly, at times it has been on the same day. Why pay for something that is not really going to make a difference?
Each to their own though.

In the UK you can pay for faster delivery? Not a option in the US.

yh i can see in the payments section that it is not available to the us... u have to wait, i think 5-7 days...

It usually takes 24 hours. Sometimes I can refresh my webpage and see it switch from pending to completed - such a nice feeling to know the money is secure.

Other times it has been taking 3 days. Usually for the first payment of a new paypal account.

I tried a small transfer of £45 from an old paypal account and it was completed in about 3 hours. That was a nice suprise.

Yes, although the pending time stays the same - either 24 or 72 hours.
